Community

How good it is to be part of community. There has been so much talk about the lack of community since the pandemic. While this may be true regarding the physical connection, I am very clear that community is alive and well in my experience, especially the way we get to commune here. My friend, Eisha Mason, invited me to call her anytime that I needed to be reminded of who I really am. This is a powerful invitation. Knowing that there is someone who is willing to remind us. And, in turn, it is good to be that person for someone else. Be present with this today. Bring forward into your awareness someone who can be your reminder. Offer this to someone who you really know as well. Let this energy solidify our common unity. There is a power in seeing and being seen with this intention. While I was attending Beyonce: The Renaissance Tour in Las Vegas last week. After her opening number, Beyonce greeted the audience from such a space of humility and allowed herself to be seen by all who were there, and in turn gave her attention to all who were there. It was a profound exchange, and you could feel the connection in the stadium of tens of thousands of people. The community that was established at that moment was ubiquitous! And then she did her thing!!

Lean in and remember, and if you need to be reminded…reach out and connect.
